On July 28, 2015, the coal transportation railway corridor project from west of Inner Mongolia to Central China (hereinafter referred to as MengHua Railway Project) started construction comprehensively.CEC undertakes the engineering survey and design work for the Jingmen-Yueyang section of MengHua Railway Project. It is another commencement of 30-ton-axle-load coal transportation corridor, after the 1st heavy load railway lineof Shanxi middle south railway project completed and started to operation which was designed by CEC.

MengHua RailwayProject passes through Inner Mongolia, Shannxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi seven provinces from north to south with the length of 1817.2 KM, adopts national class A railway standard with the design speed of 120KM/H and heavy duty specification (referred as 1.2 times ZH(2005) live load). It is the national strategic corridor of the new railway ofthe“North South Coal transport”, with the perspective long term annual transportation capacity of 200 million tons.
